This presentation ended up going well. The audience was attentive while I spoke for about an hour. There was an interested discussion afterwards.

I offered to come back to the group again next year and speak on another topic, perhaps comparative memorial culture and memorials or how the media is not liberal. I had the impression from the conversation over lunch that the group is fairly conservative and would enjoy hearing a liberal attack on the corporate media.
